COVID-19 Response and Emergency Disaster Services

The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) have been on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic, serving our most vulnerable neighbors with vital food, PPE, household goods, rent and utilities assistance, emotional and spiritual care, and more.

For the safety of those we serve, as well as our officers, staff and volunteers, The Salvation Army follows recommended guidelines from local, state and federal health officials with masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and social distancing in place.

EDS also provides crisis relief in the form of meals and supplies for evacuees displaced by wildfires … PPE, food and beverages for the brave first responders who keep us safe … and life-saving hydration to people living outdoors in the unforgiving summer heat.

We don’t “go” when disasters strike – we are already there to meet basic needs and help with long-term recovery and rebuilding.
